Quince Orchard hung tight with Damascus, playing with just a 2-0 deficit through 4 innings. Key defensive plays stranded Damascus base-runners in scoring position in each of those innings - most notably, both Megan Dougherty and Emily Maxwell had terrific over-the-shoulder catches for outs. The game then got away from the Cougars, who gave up 6 runs in the next 2 innings while scoring just 3 for an 8-3 loss. Offensive highlights included Leanne Youstra with 2 hits and 2 runs, and Sydney Zavadil with a run-scoring double.
